STACY COMPTON RETURNS TO HIS HOME TRACK:

“Martinsville is like Daytona for me. It’s a huge race because it’s near my hometown. I feel like Martinsville is the reason I’m at where I’m at right now because I got a break there in 1996 when I went there with a Sprint Cup car. We’ve ran really well there in everything we’ve ever raced there; the Cup car, the Nationwide car, the Truck, the Late Model. We’ve got a lot of laps there. It’s sort of like Kyle Busch winning Las Vegas. If we could win Martinsville, it would be pretty big. We’ve been close on a lot of occasions. But we’ve also had the typical Martinsville, where you get caught in an accident. It’s one of those race tracks that we all grew up racing on; it’s a short track with a lot of beating and banging. I sure would like to go there and run good.”

COMPTON ON WHAT IT WOULD MEAN TO WIN:

“Obviously you want to win anywhere you go, but Martinsville would be a lot like Daytona, or Las Vegas for Kyle Busch. We’re going to have a lot of people in the grandstands and a lot of people in the pits. It’s one of the race tracks that we go to that there are people that come just to the race track to watch us; not just to watch the race. We’ll have a lot of folks up there pulling for us. We certainly bring a lot of friends and family up there. It’s close by and people can come. It would be pretty big if we won. If there’s a race track that I want to win on, certainly Martinsville would be it.”

MARTINSVILLE WINNING CREW CHIEF COMES ONBOARD:

“We’re excited to have Marcus Richmond on board. Obviously we hated that things didn’t work out with Gary (Cogswell). Gary is a great guy and a great Crew Chief, but things just didn’t work out. I think he had some other opportunities as well. We talked to a lot of different Crew Chief’s out there. We looked at a lot of statistics. Marcus has been in the Truck Series the last couple of years and he has been successful. I worked with him a little bit last year. He was with Dennis Setzer. We talked with Dennis a lot about potential Crew Chief’s that were available. And Marcus was a good fit. Marcus comes from the same background that I do which is Late Models. He’s a Crew Chief that has paid his dues and worked hard to get where he’s at. He’s smart. He’s a good Crew Chief. I’m pretty excited about having him call the shots for our team. We had a great test last week and with everything I saw last year, Marcus makes some really good calls on the pit box. He certainly knows how to win races.”

COMPTON ON PRE-RACE TESTING FOR MARTINSVILLE:

“As well as we ran in our test last week, we’ve got some pretty high expectations for Martinsville,” said Compton. “We’ve got a Crew Chief that won there last year, and I know how to get around the race track. Hopefully all the stars are lining up and we’ll get a good finish on Saturday.”

COMPTON ON THE KEYS TO WINNING AT MARTINSVILLE:

“Number one, track position is so important there because it’s so hard to pass. You’ve got to get track position. Pit strategy is important too. The guys who have won the last couple of years played pit strategy, got out of the pits, and got track position. I think that’s going to be the same case this year. The guys that gamble on fuel mileage, the guys that can qualify pretty good and stay up front, are going to be the guys that are a threat to win the race.”

WYLER RACING DOMINATED AT MARTINSVILLE IN 2006:

Wyler Racing went to Victory Lane in October of 2006 when their driver, Jack Sprague, drove the No. 60 Toyota to the win after taking the pole position and leading a dominating 95 of 200 laps.

THE CREW CHIEF’S CHOICE FOR MARTINSVILLE:

Marcus Richmond, Crew Chief of the No. 60 Wyler.com Toyota Tundra, has selected chassis number 91 for the 250 lap Kroger 250. This chassis was last raced at Bristol Motor Speedway in August of last year where it produced a 23rd place finish due to a late race crash.

COMPTON’S STATS AT THE MARTINSVILLE SHORT TRACK:

Compton will be making his 14th career professional start at Martinsville Speedway when he takes the green flag for the Kroger 250 on Saturday. In addition to five previous starts in the NCWTS at Martinsville, Compton has one start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and seven starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS).

ABOUT WYLER RACING:
Wyler Racing returns to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2009 for its fourth full-time season, after making its series debut in 2005. In their very first fully fledged season in the NCWTS, Wyler Racing grabbed two wins, two pole positions, 10 top-five, and 14 top-10s, finishing fifth in points overall. The following year, Wyler Racing backed that up by winning one race, scoring two pole positions, taking six top-five, 10 top-10s and finishing ninth in points overall. In 2008, Terry Cook and Jack Sprague shared the ride, together earning two top-five and seven top-10 finishes overall, producing a 12th place finish in the Owner’s Point Standings. The team is owned by Jeff Wyler, a Cincinnati businessman who is Founder and CEO of the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family.
